Nick Veenstra

Nick Veenstra is currently employed as Research Information Specialist at Groningen, where he started in 2022 as research information specialist and tech lead on the FRIDa project.

With a previous ILS development role at INFOR and a background in information management, Nick mainly focuses on bringing functionality and users together when it comes to developing or implementing useful IT solutions in the Research IM realm. In 2015 Nick implemented the Pure research information system as the successor of Metis at Eindhoven University of Technology, moving from software development into the role of Research Information Specialist. Nick is a self taught developer with knowledge of various programming languages, and a special interest in semantic technology. He graduated from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, the Netherlands.
