Talk: Surface and interfaces in polymeric nanofibers made through forcespinning technology

Dr. Lozano, UTRGV Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has 25 years of experience in the area of nanoreinforced polymer composites and nanofiber processing-structure-property relationships. She has supported a far-reaching transformation at a once non-PhD teaching institution by creatively merging year round undergraduate education with state-of-the-art research projects.

She is the recipient of several honors/awards such as the PAESMEM, National Academy of Inventors Fellow, TEDx Speaker, and Engineer of the Year by Great Minds in STEM. She is a prolific inventor and co-founded/invented the Forcespinning technology and company that commercialized the process which received several awards such as the R&D 100.
