Title: Multi-Scale Ion Accessibility Control at Electrode Interfaces for Advanced Electrochemical Energy Systems

Sungkyunkwan University, Republic of Korea.

Prof. Hyung Mo Jeong is an associate professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU). He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where he studied the electrochemical behavior of active sites in low-dimensional carbon materials. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), focusing on MOF-based materials for lithium-ion batteries and electrocatalysis. His research focuses on the design and engineering of nanostructured materials to control electrochemical interfaces for next-generation energy technologies, including advanced batteries, hydrogen production, and CO₂ conversion.
