Dominic Rochefort

University of Montreal, Canada

Dr. Dominic Rochefort is a full professor in the Department of Chemistry at Université de Montréal, where he has been teaching since 2004. His academic formation includes a BSc in Chemistry from UdeM 1997, a PhD in Chemistry from UdeM 2002, followed by post-doctoral work at INRS – Énergie et Matériaux 2003 and Cornell University 2004. Professor Rochefort’s work bridges fundamental molecular electrochemistry and materials science with practical energy-storage challenges. From tailoring the molecular structure of ionic liquids to embed electroactivity directly into electrolytes to deciphering electron transfer reactions of organic molecules in solid and liquid phases, his group is contributing develop the next generations of energy storage solutions.
