Dr. Alison Elizabeth Lloyd is the Associate Provost (Institutional Data and Research) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where she leads the Office of Institutional Data and Research, driving data-informed decision-making and university analytics. She also serves as the University’s Risk Officer, ensuring institutional resilience by identifying and mitigating risks across all categories.

Within the Provost Office, Dr. Lloyd oversees the Transformation team, which focuses on data and digital transformation, process design and re-engineering, and organizational design to enhance institutional efficiency. She also supervises the Faculty Affairs team, which is responsible for operational and strategic initiatives supporting faculty recruitment and development in alignment with the University’s goals.

With over 20 years of experience in higher education and management consulting, Dr. Lloyd has held leadership roles at Hong Kong Baptist University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, spearheading evidence-based decision-making and international affairs. Prior to academia, she worked in strategy, business process re-engineering, and change management across the Asia Pacific region. She also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Giordano International Limited and a Board Director of a social enterprise promoting multicultural education.
