Alberto Tiraferri is Full Professor of Applied Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) where he also founded and managed the interdepartmental Clean Water Center. He currently serves as Delegate for Research Affairs to the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Technological Innovation. He earned his Ph.D. from Yale University in 2012 and was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. His research focuses on membrane-based water treatment, desalination, wastewater reuse, zero liquid discharge, and resource recovery from aqueous streams, as well as the remediation of contaminated environments.
