Meet the team
Paula joined Elsevier in 2019, first working as a freelance trainer and then assuming the role of Customer Consultant in 2021, both in support of customers in Central and Eastern Europe. Her expertise is in training—knowing how best to package and present information so it’s relevant and actionable.
A librarian by degree and training, Paula worked as a librarian at the University of Lodz, the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz and the Medical University of Lodz and served as a board member and project manager for the Phenomenon Foundation.
Paula was awarded an undergraduate degree in Polish Philology and a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Lodz and matriculated from the elite leader education program at the School for Leaders Foundation and the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
Vivien assumed the role of customer consultant in the Eastern-Central European region in 2022. Prior to that, she worked as an academic teacher at the University of Pannonia in Hungary teaching English conversation, academic writing, translation and interpretation.
After successfully taking her complex exam at the Multilingualism Doctoral School of the University of Pannonia, Vivien is currently conducting research in the field of applied linguistics as a third-year Ph.D. candidate.
Galina has been with Elsevier since 2005 and is currently a Customer Consultant for Research Management Solutions.
She focuses on helping researchers to increase their effectiveness, and champions the optimal use of analytical solutions for research development, strategic planning and performance.
Bartłomiej (Bartek) Więckowski
As a Customer Consultant since 2019, Bartek is oriented toward dedicated customer support, and gains a deep sense of satisfaction sharing his knowledge with others.
He offers over a decade of experience working in and with the education market. An expert in data and metrics, Bartek offers deep knowledge and insights as co-creator of the HEIs Ranking while working for the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.
An expert in the fields of educational markets and bibliometrics and the promotion of university excellence, Bartek co-authored multiple reports and analyses about the education market in Poland and throughout central and eastern Europe.
Bartek graduated from the University of Warsaw and Kozminski University. He is a self-described computer geek and enthusiast of new information technologies.
Kirill joined Elsevier in February 2021. As a Research Intelligence Customer Consultant, he supports the company’s academic, corporate, and government customers in Central Asia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey with data solutions, strategic consulting, and staff training.
Before joining Elsevier, Kirill was Lead Analyst at RAEX International Group, where he coordinated data acquisition and the compilation of The Three University Missions world rankings, supervised the company’s analytical software development and academic consulting projects. Before that he held various positions in software localisation and international relations.
Kirill holds an MSc in Applied Statistics & Network Analysis, an LL.M. in Private International Law, and a Bachelor’s in Linguistics.
