Dr. Zafar Said is a leading researcher in sustainable and renewable energy systems. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and completed postdoctoral research at Khalifa University, UAE. His research focuses on heat transfer enhancement, solar energy systems, and advanced thermofluids, with particular emphasis on nanofluids, nanorefrigerants, and battery thermal management.

Dr. Said has also pioneered the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in energy system optimization and thermophysical property prediction. He has received numerous awards, including the Khalifa Award for Education (2025), Future Pioneer Award in Sustainability (2025), and Best Academic Research at the 13th Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (2024). He was honored with the Research and Innovation Award by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (2022, 2023) and First Place in Scientific Research at the Excellence and Creative Engineering Award (2023) by the Society of Engineers, UAE.

Recognized among the world’s top 2% of scientists by Elsevier BV and Stanford University, Dr. Said serves as an editor and reviewer for several leading journals and frequently delivers keynote lectures at international conferences.
