Matt Siegler is a planetary scientist specializing in thermal processes on solid body planets such as subsurface temperatures, volatile stability, and geothermal heat flow. He is a team member on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and the Mars InSight mission.

He also double-majored in film production at Cornell and worked on the 2014 Cosmos documentary series and PHD Comics' YouTube documentaries. He is a Research Scientist with the Planetary Science Institute and Research Professor at Southern Methodist University.
