Dictionary of Energy is a comprehensive and authoritative reference book on all aspects of energy and its role in society. The new edition contains more than 10,000 terms, across 40 key subject areas in energy such as solar, oil and gas, economics, policy, sustainable development, renewable/alternative energy, and water. The book is a useful reference for all those in the working field of, or who have an interest in energy, including scientists, consultants, journalists, economists, educators, students and policy-makers.
Dr. Cleveland is the Director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies at Boston University, where he also holds the position of Professor in the Department of Geography and Environment. He has edited several other reference books, including the previously released two-volume resource Handbook of Energy, which provides interdisciplinary coverage appropriate for those in environmental sciences, social and natural sciences, and engineering.
