Elsevier Partners with the British Academy of Management

2005 Annual BAM Conference sponsored by leading STM publisher

Oxford, Tuesday 13 September 2005– Elsevier is delighted to sponsor the 2005 British Academy of Management Annual Conference, located at the Said Business School, University of Oxford, 13-15 September 2005. The 2005 meeting focuses on “Challenges of Organizations in Global Markets” – a theme of great interest to Elsevier, as a leading publisher with offices across 74 locations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, Africa and Latin America.

“Supporting societies is an important part of our mission, and we achieve this through a variety of means – direct publishing relationships with over 500 societies and third parties worldwide, affiliations, grants from the Elsevier Foundation and sponsorship of important society events such as the BAM reception” said Diane Cogan, Publishing Director for Elsevier’s Social Sciences programme.

Elsevier has forged strong links with the business and management community, and through this type of collaboration demonstrates a strong commitment to furthering the development of research in this field. Elsevier also publishes a wide variety of business and management publications aimed at meeting the needs of students, practitioners and researchers. Leading publications include Long Range Planning, The Leadership Quarterly, Business Horizons and The European Management Journal.
