Elsevier Is the New Publisher of Value in Health, the official journal of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR)

Oxford, UK, 5th January 2011 – Elsevier, the world's leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information, announced today that it has become the new publisher of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research’s (ISPOR) journal Value in Health.

 Value in Health is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal reporting on outcomes research evaluations of medical technologies including pharmaceuticals, biologics, devices, medical procedures, and other health care interventions. The journal is published eight times a year.

The Journal provides a scientific forum for communicating clinical, economic, and patient-reported outcomes research methods and findings, furthering ISPOR's mission that 'society allocates scarce health care resources wisely, fairly, and efficiently. Value in Healthis also a sounding board for the discussion of health policy issues related to health economics and outcomes research studies associated with all medical technologies. Topics include budget impact/cost-effectiveness/cost-utility/cost-benefit analysis, health utilities/preferences, patient-reported outcomes/health-related quality of life/health status research, health technology assessment, disease management, with study designs (prospective, retrospective, observational and clinical trials, and modeling), and critical reviews of existing literature.
