Amsterdam, 16 July 2008 – Elsevier, a leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information, announced that European Urology, the official journal of the European Association of Urology (EAU), has a newly released impact factor of 5.634.
European Urology (also the “Platinum Journal”) offers its readers and authors high quality papers, fast response and an international profile. To keep up with the rapidly evolving world of medicine, technology and surgical techniques, European Urology is constantly updating and innovating its features and layout in order to provide the best clinical guidance, research and education for urologists across Europe and around the world.
“European Urology has been a respected urological forum for over 20 years and is currently read by more than 15,000 urologists across the globe,” Professor Francesco Montorsi, Editor-in-Chief, points out. Also, the success of European Urology is directly related to the success of the EAU. “The growth and progress of the EAU has always had a major impact on the prosperity of European Urology.”
Per Anders Abrahamsson, Secretary General of the EAU commented “European Urology attracts the best papers from the best labs and we can see a strong trend that the Journal is being read throughout the world. The submission rate is increasing consistently. That means the quality is getting better and better”.
European Urology publishes peer-reviewed articles, topical reviews, editorials and case reports on a wide range of urological complications, surgical techniques and innovative studies. All EAU members receive the journal on a monthly basis as a benefit of their membership.
