Drainage: Pylorus of stomach and proximal duodenum.
Direction of Flow: Hepatic nodes > celiac nodes > intestinal trunk > cisterna chyli > thoracic duct.
Description:
Description: (Location & Drainage)
The pyloric nodes are found adjacent to the pylorus of the stomach. They can be subcategorized into:
—suprapyloric nodes located along the upper margin of the pylorus next to the right gastric artery;
—subpyloric nodes located along the lower margin of the pylorus;
—retropyloric nodes located posterior to the pylorus adjacent to the gastroduodenal artery (Földi et al., 2012).
These nodes receive afferent vessels that drain the pylorus of the stomach and the proximal duodenum. The efferent vessels of the pyloric nodes ascend to drain into the hepatic nodes (Földi et al., 2012).
