Meet our Speakers

Dr Sarah Hyde is the Research and Evaluation Lead at The Royal Australasian College of Physicians, bringing over 14 years of expertise in medical education. Her extensive background includes senior lecturer positions at Charles Sturt University's School of Rural Medicine and significant experience in problem-based learning implementation. Dr Hyde's doctoral research focused on how medical students regulate their learning in clinical settings, making her uniquely qualified to address contemporary challenges in clinical reasoning education.

Dr Ben Taylor is a distinguished emergency medicine specialist and simulation expert, currently serving as Director of Simulation at UNSW's School of Clinical Medicine and Simulation Staff Specialist at Sydney Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre. With over 15 years of experience at Liverpool Hospital and Northern Beaches Hospital, Dr Taylor combines hands-on emergency medicine expertise with advanced simulation education. As a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), he brings practical insights into developing clinical reasoning skills through innovative teaching methodologies.
