Scopus expands AI-assisted discovery capabilities throughout 2026, accelerating horizon scanning, literature reviews and white space analysis by enabling analytics at scale. Scopus moves toward a unified Scopus experience with AI embedded directly into core workflows. Updates include:

LeapSpace, Elsevier’s research-grade AI workspace, launched in January. It combines comprehensive trusted, peer-reviewed content with Responsible AI in a single secure environment to help researchers work faster, think deeper and achieve more. Existing ScienceDirect AI customers will continue to access LeapSpace under their current subscription. The “Ask” ScienceDirect AI page remains available until March 31, 2026; after that, LeapSpace becomes the default AI experience. Compare Experiments and Reading Assistant are included in LeapSpace.
