Talk Title: Deciphering the horizontal traffic rules of aminoglycoside resistance genes

Stéphanie Bedhomme earned her PhD in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Montpellier. Using experimental evolution as a central tool, she has worked with a diversity of experimental systems - from plant viruses to Drosophila and from bacteria to mosquitoes - and evolutionary biology questions – from parasite virulence evolution to plant virus specialisation.

She is currently combining laboratory evolutionary microbiology, field work, comparative genomics and bioinformatic approaches to better understand the horizontal gene transfer traffic rules at different spatial and ecological scales.
