Talk: Self-assembly and label-free quantification of sequnce-defined precision polymeric amphiphiles

Prof. Shiyong Liu obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2000 from Fudan University (Shanghai, China) under the guidence of Prof. Ming Jiang. He then spent three and a half years at University of Sussex and University of Delaware as a postdoctoral fellow, working with Prof. Steven P. Armes (currently at University of Sheffield) and Prof. Eric W. Kaler (currently at Case Western Reserve University), respectively.

Since 2004, he has been a professor of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Since 2019, he has served as the executive Dean of School of Chemistry and Materials Science, USTC. His current research interests include precision polymer chemistry, sequence-defined polymers, discrete polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivatives and innovative nanomedicine formulations, EUV photoresists, issues related to plastic pollution, and origin of biological homochirality for protein building blocks. He has published over 240 peer-reviewed journal papers and 8 book chapters with a total citation of >23,000 and an H-index of 83.
