Conference chairs

Petra Brysiewicz is a full professor in the School of Nursing & Public Health, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. She has worked with research and education of health professionals in South Africa and Africa for 20 years, predominately in the area of acute/emergency care.

Petra is extensively involved in professional societies for emergency care in South Africa and Africa. Through her work in the development of emergency care in South Africa and Africa, she has experience in multidisciplinary medical education and research and is currently developing mentorship programmes for emergency care workers in Africa.

Petra is the co editor-in-chief of the International Emergency Nursing journal.
