I’m Elizabeth Gil White, a 2nd Year Medical Student from the University of Anahuac in Mexico
I really like going on camping trips that involve being in touch with nature and disconnecting myself from the world and from my phone.
Here’s a little bit more about me!
What’s been your highlight so far in Medical School?
So far my favourite semester has been 4th (2nd Year) because I have seen subjects related to surgery and I really like that area of medicine. However, I have really enjoyed physiology and pathophysiology because I think they are the most important subjects of my career!
How do you learn/ study best?
When I have to memorise something like in pharmacology, all the names of drugs and their mechanism of action, I write them down as many times as I need. But when it comes to really understanding something, I like studying with my friends, and explain the subject that we are studying.
Aside from medicine, what are you passionate about?
Outdoors: hiking, trekking, camping... I love being in touch with nature and taking time to disconnect from social media, internet, responsibilities...
Why did you enter the ClinicalKey Global Challenge?
I saw it as an opportunity to know how my education was going, what were my strongest and weakest subjects.
If we asked your friends/ family to describe you in three words what would they be?
Persistent, loyal, honest
Grey’s Anatomy or ER
