Royal College of Physicians logo

Founded in 1518 by a Royal Charter from King Henry VIII, the Royal College of Physicians(opens in new tab/window) (RCP) is the oldest medical college in England, playing a pivotal role in raising standards and shaping public health. As the largest scientific publisher worldwide, Elsevier provides professional support and sophisticated platforms that will improve the editor, author, reviewer, and reader experience throughout the online publication process. We are confident that this new partnership will increase the global impact and reach of both journals.

About Clinical Medicine

Clinical Medicine or ClinMed publishes advances in general and specialist medicine and authoritative reviews on current and upcoming clinical topics. It aims to directly improve readers’ clinical practice by providing evidence-supported and relevant learning; this will be achieved by publishing original research, guideline summaries and clinically focused reviews. Given the dichotomy of the increasing complexity of patient caseload and the increasing drive to specialism, the journal is especially focused on keeping physicians abreast of what is current best practice in all specialisms. Aimed at disseminating best practice to physicians in the UK and overseas, ClinMed is a core component of the RCP in supporting a wide range of specialties through a dedicated continuing medical education (CME) section which presents the latest advances in a chosen specialty, with self-assessment questions at the end of each topic enabling CPD accreditation to be acquired. ClinMed has no page charges for authors who are members of the RCP and is open access.
