Schneerson Robbins Award
Rachel Schneerson and John Robbins are known for their groundbreaking work and bold, visionary and imaginative leadership in the development and commercialization of the Hemophilus influenzae type b vaccine and bringing the vaccine to market, leading to the eradication of Hemophilus influenzae type b, typhoid, and pneumococcus.
The purpose of the award is to recognise an outstanding scientist in the field of Bacterial Vaccines.
The nomination should contain the name of your nominee, his/her CV, and a summary of his/her scientific merit and research impact. Unfortunately self-nominations cannot be accepted.

The winner of the 2025 award will be invited to give a 30-minute Keynote lecture at the 19th Vaccine Congress in Kyoto, Japan, 7 – 10 September 2025. Registration will be complementary and a contribution towards flight and accommodation at the conference will also be provided.
The selected nominee will be contacted by the Organisers by 19 March 2025.

Jenner Award
Edward Jenner was an English doctor, the pioneer of smallpox vaccination and the father of immunology.

The ECR Award will be presented to an exceptional young researcher in the field of Vaccines, ideally within the first 5 years of their career.

Conference Dinner
Join us for the Conference Dinner at Heian Jingu Shrine Restaurant & Banquet Hall S’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre on Tuesday, 9September 2025, for the opportunity to network in a relaxed environment.
Heian Jingu Shrine Restaurant & Banquet Hall is located within the shrine grounds of the Heian Jingu Shrine, one of the most famous and prestigious shrines in Japan, built in 1895 for the 1,100th anniversary of the relocation of the capital city to Heiankyo. The interior boasts traditional Japanese architecture and amazing views of the scenic Shin-en Garden. The garden was designed by the Japanese Government as a ‘Place of Scenic Beauty’. In contrast to the magnificent image of the vermilion shrine gate (torii) and gorgeous shrine buildings of the Heian Jingu Shrine, the view of the vast garden gives the venue a calm and quiet atmosphere.
