Join us for Biosensors 2025

This premier event for the biosensor community and the largest in the field will celebrate its 35th anniversary with another excellent line-up of plenary speakers, high-quality contributed oral talks and large poster sessions.

Abstracts are invited by 8 November 2024

For more than 30 years, this meeting has catalysed interactions to further this ever-expanding area. Biosensors harness the exquisite recognition capabilities of biological systems and combine them with physicochemical transducers to deliver simple, easy to use diagnostic systems for an ever-expanding range of applications to improve health, wellbeing, and the environment.

The programme features daily plenary presentations followed by parallel sessions comprising a rigorously refereed selection of submitted papers and highly interactive poster sessions. Selected high quality selected oral contributions will be included as extended keynote presentations.

Topics will include:

  • Bioelectronics (including biocomputing, bio-fuel and photovoltaic cells, and electronic noses)

  • Commercial biosensors, manufacturing and markets

  • DNA chips, and nucleic acid sensors and aptasensors

  • Enzyme-based biosensors

  • Immunosensors

  • Lab-on-a-chip and multiplexed sensors

  • Microfluidics and immobilization technology

  • Smartphone diagnostics, wearable biosensors and personal mobile health

  • Nanobiosensors, nanomaterials & nanoanalytical systems

  • Natural & synthetic receptors (including MIPs)

  • Organism-, and whole cell- and organ-based biosensors

  • Printed biosensors and microfabrication

  • Proteomics, single-cell analysis and cancer-cell detection

Welcome from the Congress Chairs

Dear Biosensors Community,

We are delighted to bring Biosensors 2025 back to Europe, which is playing a key role in driving some of the most exciting new commercial applications in biochips, wearable sensors and telecommunication interfaces.

As with previous congresses in the series, we look forward to welcoming more than 1,500 delegates from all over the world to Korea in 2023.  This premier event for the biosensor community - the largest in the field - will celebrate its 33rd anniversary with another excellent line-up of daily plenary presentations followed by parallel sessions comprising a rigorously refereed selection of submitted papers and most interactive poster sessions.  In addition to invited lectures, high quality selected oral contributions will be included as extended keynote presentations.

Busan is a beautiful oceanfront metropolis, and one of the top 10 convention cities in the world. Blessed with mesmerizing nature and rich culture, Busan provides a world-class convention infrastructure. The Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, which is called BEXCO, is the main venue and is renowned around the world having hosted prestigious conferences for over 15 years. Special social programs you can only enjoy in Busan will be arranged on optional basis for all biosensors attendees.

We promise we’ll do our best to make Biosensors 2023 in Busan a very special event for all attendees and we look forward to welcoming you in Busan with all our heart.

Thank you.
