Latino Diabetes Community Scientists

We partner with the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute to create the first Hispanic/Latino Community Scientists trained in wearable tech and clinical research, reducing health literacy barriers amongst Latinos with or at risk of type 2 diabetes.

Implementation Science Fellowship Program

Patients with diseases disproportionately affecting minority populations are slower to benefit from new findings, as less than 8% of the scientific community is composed of underrepresented minorities. NCCU’s Implementation Science Fellowship Program works on facilitating the rapid adoption of evidence-based interventions to address health disparities in diverse communities.
