The Elsevier Foundation also supports tech-enabled, inclusive partnerships to increase access to training and care for those who need it most.

Since 2006, the Elsevier Foundation provides over $1 million USD a year in grants to knowledge-centered institutions around the world, which address the UN SDGs through tech-enabled innovations in inclusive health and research.

Epicentre Niger Research Center

We support Doctors without Borders and their training and research partner Epicentre with capacity building at their Niger Research Center, aiding African-driven research to improve medical practice, to build field-based research capacity to deliver better medical care.

Latino Diabetes Citizen Scientists

We partner with the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute to create the first Hispanic/Latino Citizen Scientists trained in wearable tech and clinical research, reducing health literacy barriers amongst Latinos with or at risk of type 2 diabetes.

NLN/Elsevier HBCU Excellence in Technology Innovation

The National League for Nursing's online coaching course targets nurse educators and preceptors – fostering a better understanding f the challenges faced by nursing students and novice nurses, as well as help them with the transition from theory to practice.

The Lancet Global Health Commissions

The Lancet Global Health Commissions aim to identify key actions and inform policy makers by bringing together experts to reflect on burning health issues. Among others, the Commission on mental health and sustainable development outlines a blueprint for action to promote mental wellbeing, prevent mental health problems and enable recovery; Women and Health: the key for sustainable development explores health challenges affecting women disproportionally owing to biological, gender and other social determinants; and The path to longer and healthier lives for all Africans by 2030 charts a vision of the future and roadmap for improved health of sub-Saharan Africans.
