Since 1996 head of “Interdisciplinary Failure Analysis” group at BAM, which focuses on analyzing complex damage cases from mechanical engineering, process engineering, power plants, steam turbines, motor vehicles, rail vehicles and tracks, ships, medical implants…

Since 2002, member of the “Experts Group on Failure Analysis” within the Association of German Engineers (VDI) and of the Technical Committee for VDI Guideline 3822 on Failure Analysis

~ 80 publications in the fields of failure analysis, vibration and structural integrity, environmental simulation

Since 2014, member of the editorial board of the journal “Engineering Failure Analysis”— thus he applies the “lessons learned” to prevent failures
