Agreement
Wellcome(se abre en una nueva pestaña/ventana) requires authors to make research papers that have been accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal, and are supported in whole or in part by Wellcome funding, available immediately upon publication through Europe PubMed Central (Europe PMC), under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) end user license.

Authors can publish gold open access in any of Elsevier’s fully open access journals(se abre en una nueva pestaña/ventana) or Transformative Journals(se abre en una nueva pestaña/ventana). Wellcome should reimburse reasonable APC payments for articles published in these titles, in line with its OA policy.
Authors can also publish gold open access in the majority of other Elsevier journals. Where authors wish to publish gold open access in these journals, they will be asked to agree to pay an Article Publishing Charge (APC) at the point of submission. As Wellcome funds cannot be used to cover these APCs, if authors (or their organizations) are unable to fund these fees, they should contact Elsevier to discuss their options. Wellcome-funded authors in the UK should check whether their institution is eligible under Elsevier's Agreement with Jisc to support reimbursement of APC fees.
