Content syndication partnerships on ScienceDirect
At ScienceDirect, our mission is to help researchers make an impact by making the discovery of insights simple and rewarding. We aim to increase the exposure of important author publications and connect researchers to relevant, trusted answers.
Users tell us that: “The literature review is a very time-intensive process, searching multiple platforms to stay up to date can become overwhelming.” (2023 ScienceDirect user survey)

To solve for this, Elsevier has partnered with leading scholarly publishers to help researchers find relevant academic papers more efficiently by syndicating trusted, peer-reviewed information on ScienceDirect. Researchers can now already access over 150,000 articles from leading publishers directly on ScienceDirect. Using shared infrastructure with GetFTR, which checks entitlements, researchers can seamlessly connect with relevant content on ScienceDirect from the following publishers:
American Chemical Society
Brill
International Union of Crystallography
Royal Society of Chemistry
Taylor and Francis
Wiley

The primary mission of discovery platforms that unites publishers and librarians is to connect the work of authors to interested readers. It is more important than ever for publishers to collaborate on a sustainable platform that promotes, protects and preserves robust, verified and trustworthy knowledge.

Content syndication on ScienceDirect means publishers can:
Increase exposure and usage of essential journals
Ensure the broadest possible reach of your authors’ published research
Have increased global discoverability: ScienceDirect has users in every country in the world and 95% of researchers use ScienceDirect (based on average global analysis of researchers and ScienceDirect users, 2023)
