The deadline for submission of abstracts passed.

Notes for authors

Best posters will be selected by the Scientific Committee. Best Poster Prize winners will receive a certificate and free registration to the 2027 conference.

Once the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the conference and present the paper at the conference.

You may submit as many abstracts as you wish. If, after the review by the committee, you have more than one paper accepted for the conference, you will need to register to attend, and pay an additional paper fee for each additional paper (i.e., for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th papers – not the 1st). Please note this is for papers that you are the presenting author of, not papers that you are co-author of.

Abstracts of all accepted contributions will be included within the online abstract system which will be distributed to all registered conference participants.

For revisions or queries regarding papers already submitted:

If you do wish to make any essential revisions to an abstract already submitted, please contact the Conference Content Executiveopens in new tab/window with details of any revisions or queries. Please quote your reference number if you have one.

Editors Awards

The Editors of Desalination will present the following awards to student and early career researcher presenters contributing to the meeting.

Three monetary awards will be given in each of the following four categories:

Young Researcher Best Oral Presentation (USD $500)

Three monetary awards to young researchers within 5 years after awarded with PhD. Applicants need to upload a scanned copy of their PhD certificate during abstract submission.

Young Researcher Best Poster Presentation (USD $500)

Three monetary awards to young researchers within 5 years after awarded with PhD. Applicants need to upload a scanned copy of their PhD certificate during abstract submission

Student Best Oral Presentation (USD $250)

Three monetary awards to students pursuing their PhD or Masters degree. Applicants should upload a scanned copy of signed letter from their head of department attesting to student status during abstract submission.
