Angelo Basile is a Chemical Engineer with a Ph.D. in Technical Physics, was a senior Researcher at the ITM-CNR as a responsible for the research related to both ultra-pure hydrogen production and CO2 capture using Pd-based Membrane Reactors. Angelo Basile's h-index is 60, with 467 document results (02/Dec./2025, www.scopus.com), with a total of 11,796 citations by 6,998 documents. He is an editor/author of more than 60 scientific books and 160 chapters on international books on membrane science and technology; with various patens (7 Italian, 2 European, and 1 worldwide). He is a referee of more than 160 international scientific journals and a Member of the Editorial Board of more than 20 of them. Basile is also an associate editor of the: Int. J. Hydrogen Energy; Asia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Eng.; journal Frontiers in Membrane Science and Technology; and co-Editor-in-chief of the Int. J. Membrane Science & Technol. Basile also prepared more than 50 special issues on membrane science and technology for many international journals (IJHE, Chem Eng. J., Cat. Today, etc.). He participated in and was responsible for many national and international projects on membrane reactors and membrane science. Basile served as Director of the ITM-CNR during the period Dec. 2008 – May 2009. In the last years, he was tutor of 30 Thesis for master's and Ph.D. students at the Chemical Eng. Department of the University of Calabria (Italy). Since 2014, Basile has been a Full Professor in the subject “Systems, Methods and Technologies of the Chemical Engineering Processes”.
