Ed Cassar
Chief Financial Officer
Ed Cassar is Chief Financial Officer at Elsevier. Until 2013, he was Chief Financial Officer for LexisNexis, which, like Elsevier, is part of RELX, based in New York. Ed joined LexisNexis in 2005 and in that time held a number of roles including International CFO and Chief Operating Officer for International where he oversaw the businesses of Austria, Poland and Business Solutions. He also had responsibility for the International Group’s business systems, operating infrastructure and Finance.
Prior to joining RELX, Ed was Head of Retail Finance for Marks & Spencer PLC. He also served in several finance and business management roles for various Thomson Reuters businesses and started his career with KPMG.
Ed graduated with an Honours degree in Economics and Accounting from Loughborough University.
