Yang Liu

Dr Yang Liu is Professor and Chair of Sustainable Water Technologies at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia, an ARC Future Fellow, and Director of the newly established ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub – IoT for Water. Before joining QUT in 2023, she was a Professor at the University of Alberta, Canada, where she also held a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Future Water Services and an NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Sustainable Urban Water Development. Her research focuses on water and wastewater management, resource recovery, and developing industry-focused, climate-resilient solutions for sustainable urban water services.
