Piergiuseppe Morone

Piergiuseppe Morone is Full Professor of Economic Policy and Vice Rector for Research at Unitelma Sapienza. His research focuses on green innovation and the sustainable circular bioeconomy at the intersection of innovation economics and sustainability transitions. His work is widely published in leading innovation and environmental economics journals. He is Coordinator of the Bioeconomy in Transition Research Group (BiT-RG). He has held leading roles in several European projects, served as Economic Advisor to the Italian Minister of the Environment until February 2021, and acts as a consultant for international organizations, including the OECD and the WHO.
Piergiuseppe Morone is Editor-in-Chief of Societal Impacts and Associate Editor of Cleaner and Circular Bioeconomy (Elsevier). Since April 2022, he has been Vice-Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU).
