Chuyang Y. Tang

Professor Chuyang Tang is CDE Chair Professor at National University of Singapore (NUS), and he is appointed as the Director of NUS Environmental Research Institute since July 2026. Prior to joining NUS, he served as Chair Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. Professor Tang’s research focuses on membrane technology, desalination, water reuse, resource recovery, and the water-energy nexus. He has published over 400 refereed papers and has been recognised as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher. His work has contributed to advances in membrane fouling control, the development of novel membrane materials, and the design of efficient separation processes.
