Dr. Tarun Belwal is the Director of R&D and Quality Systems at 7 Continents Natural Products LLC, USA, where he leads research and innovation in phytochemicals, nutraceuticals, natural product chemistry, food for health, analytical method development, and product commercialization. He serves as an Editor for Food Chemistry, Associate Editor for Phytomedicine, and is a member of the Editorial Boards of several leading international journals in food chemistry, phytochemistry, and nutrition.

Dr. Belwal received his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Kumaun University, India. He subsequently completed postdoctoral research at Zhejiang University (China), the University of Turin (Italy), and Texas A&M University (USA). His research focuses on the extraction, characterization, authentication, bioavailability, and biological activities of plant bioactive compounds, with particular emphasis on polyphenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, and other phytochemicals derived from medicinal and edible plants. His work bridges fundamental food chemistry with industrial translation through the development of functional ingredients, nutraceuticals, and quality control strategies for botanical products.

Dr. Belwal has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications, which have received over 12,000 citations, with an h-index of 61. He has been recognized among the Stanford/Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists for multiple consecutive years. He is also an inventor on several international patent applications related to food and pharmaceutical technologies and actively collaborates with academic institutions and industry partners worldwide to translate scientific discoveries into commercially viable health products.

His current research interests include food for health, phytochemical standardization, food authentication, botanical extraction technologies, functional foods, nutraceutical development, and the preclinical and clinical evaluation of natural products.
