Alessandro Polini

Alessandro Polini is a materials scientist with a broad range of interests. After receiving Bachelor and Master degrees in Biotechnology, he focused on Nanotechnologies during his PhD training (University of Salento - National Nanotechnology Laboratory, Italy), mainly aimed to the development of nanoscale materials for tissue engineering and design of bioanalytical microfluidic devices. He expanded his expertise during Postdoctoral experiences at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley, US), Harvard Medical School (Cambridge, US), and Radboud University Medical Centre (Nijmegen, the Netherlands), where he received the prestigious Radboud Excellence Fellowship. He is currently a Researcher at the CNR Institute of Nanotechnology in Lecce, Italy.
