Quan Chen

Quan Chen

Quan Chen is a professor at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute for Chemical Research at Kyoto University, Japan, in 2011. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at Pennsylvania State University, he joined the faculty at CIAC. His research focuses on the molecular rheology of polymer liquids, with a particular emphasis on associative polymers and polyolefins. Professor Chen has authored over 130 publications and has received several honors, including the Research Award from the Society of Rheology, Japan (2019), the Metzner Early Career Award from The Society of Rheology (2021), and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2024). He currently serves on the editorial boards of Polymer and the Chinese Journal of Polymer Science.
