Revue de Chirurgie Orthopédique et Traumatologique (RCOT) is evolving in 2024, under the direction of a new Editorial Board.

As the leading journal for development and continuing education in Orthopaedic Surgery in France, affiliated to the Société Française de Chirurgie Orthopédique et Traumatologique (SOFCOT), RCOT is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes in French original high-quality work in the field of Orthopaedics.

RCOT gives particular priority to the publication of works that are useful to the professional and medical practice of orthopaedic surgeons and traumatologists, over and above articles relating to medical care and technique, whether surgical or investigative. More experimental work may nevertheless be submitted to the journal.

In this respect, RCOT favors didactic, systematic and non-systematic reviews, where the subject is well-targeted and the work synthetically exposed. Clinical research papers are also welcome, particularly if they report on the impact of their findings on medical decisions, or if they are likely to form the basis of recommendations for clinical practice.

As a forum for the exchange and sharing of current and future practices and techniques in the orthopaedic field, RCOT gives a prominent place to studies relating to the epidemiology of orthopaedic and traumatological pathologies, to technical monitoring (biomaterials in particular), and to the evolution of professional practices.

The journal also publishes surgical technique notes (with illustrations and video supplements), observational clinical series, debates, symposia and round table reports from SOFCOT's associate academic societies, and short communications and correspondences. At last, RCOT publishes the annual SOFCOT Instructional Course Lectures and, starting in 2024, the SOFCOT Monographies.
