Prof. Paula Angelomé

Paula C. Angelomé earned her Degree (2003) and PhD (2008) in Chemistry from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Afterwards, she completed a postdoctoral stay at the University of Vigo, Spain (2008-2012). Since 2012, she has been a CONICET researcher at Gerencia Química and INN, CNEA-CONICET in Buenos Aires. She currently holds a Principal Researcher position.

Her work focuses on nanomaterials chemistry, particularly the design, synthesis, and characterization of oxide thin films, metallic nanoparticles, and composites based on these materials. She has published more than 75 papers on these subjects and supervised several postdoctoral fellows and PhD and masters and undergraduate students.

In 2024 she obtained the National L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award in Argentina.
