Prof. Jiaoyan Ren

Prof. Jiaoyan Ren is a Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Food Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology (SCUT), and Associate Director of the Institute of Food Nutrition and Health. She is an internationally recognized researcher in food nutrition, functional foods, and bioactive peptides, with particular expertise in the preparation, structural characterization, functional evaluation, and mechanisms of food-derived peptides.

Prof. Ren has published more than 124 SCI/EI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author, with an H-index of 59, and has led numerous national, international, and industry-supported research programs. Her research innovations have generated extensive intellectual property and have been translated into functional foods and foods for special medical purposes.

She currently serves as an Editor of Food Chemistry and Associate Editor of Food Frontiers and Food Materials Research. A frequent international keynote speaker, Prof. Ren has presented at major conferences worldwide and has received numerous awards for scientific innovation and research excellence. She has also been recognized among Stanford’s World’s Top 2% Scientists.
