Prof. Can Li

Can Li, a chair professor and director of Fundamental Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis, at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He was the president of the International Association of Catalysis Societies (2008-2012). Currently, he is the president of the Catalysis Society of China, Dean of Materials and Chemical Science School of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003, a member of the Academy of Science for Developing Countries (TWAS) in 2005, a foreign member of Academia European in 2008.

His research interests span in-situ/operando spectroscopic studies on catalysts and reactions at catalysis surfaces. Since 2001, his research has been focused on photocatalytic, photoelectrocatalytic and electrolysis water splitting and CO₂ reduction utilizing renewable energy for solar fuel production.
