Access

ESPReSSO Establishing Suggested Practices Regarding Single Sign On (ESPReSSO) Enables users to use their institutional credentials to login across multiple platforms and products.

Shibboleth/ SAML(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) Shibboleth is an implementation of SAML (Secure Assertion Mark-up Language) which allows secure authentication enabling users to log in using their institutional credentials. For customers, we support OpenAthens and SAML-based single log-on.

Accessibility

WAI(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) WCAG 2. 0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) Elsevier supports the international accessibility standard which ensures our websites are usable by people with a wide range of disabilities.

Holdings and usage

COUNTER(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources) Code of Practice facilitates a single, accepted, extendable Code of Practice to measure the usage of online information products and services. Elsevier is a founding member of COUNTER.

KBART(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) Knowledge Base and Related Tools (KBART) is a recommended best practice for publishers to format and distribute title lists and holdings reports in a way that is consistent, accurate and easy for updating library knowledge bases.

SUSHI (新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) Standardized Usage Statistics Harvesting Initiative (SUSHI) is a mandatory protocol for the automated exchange of COUNTER usage reports in XML format between publishers and their customers.

Community-specific standards

STIX Fonts(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く) STIX (Scientific and Technical Information Exchange) Font Creation Project. A comprehensive set of royalty-free fonts for mathematics and other special characters used in scientific, technical and medical publishing.

Information preservation

Digital archives Working with Yale University Library and the Dutch national library, Koninklijke Bibliotheek(新しいタブ/ウィンドウで開く), Elsevier has adopted the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) standards for preservation and established an official, permanently accessible, digital archive for Elsevier journals.
