After earning her Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico, USA, she has dedicated her career to pioneering research in advanced sensor platforms, specifically designed to tackle global challenges in healthcare and environmental sustainability.

Under her visionary leadership, the Electrochemistry and Optical Spectroscopy Center of Excellence (EOSCE) has achieved international acclaim, receiving the prestigious Science and Technology Award from the Toray Science Foundation. Professor Chailapakul’s work is characterized by the development of high-precision, portable, and user-friendly diagnostic tools, bridging the gap between fundamental science and real-world point-of-care applications.

Her scientific impact is reflected in her consistent ranking among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University.
