Dr. Xing Chen received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Tsinghua University in 2002. He then completed his Ph.D. in chemistry with Professors Carolyn Bertozzi and Alex Zettl at University of California, Berkeley in 2007. After completion of the postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School in the lab of Professor Timothy Springer, Dr. Chen started as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Peking University in 2010 and was promoted to Professor with tenure in 2016. Some of his recent awards include Hui Yongzheng Award for Outstanding Achievements in Glycoscience (2024), ACS Horace S. Isbell Award (2021), Zhang Shuzheng Award for Outstanding Achievements in Glycoscience (2021), C.C. Tan Life Science Innovation Award (2021), Xplore Prize (2020), and Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Award (2020). His current research interest focuses on chemical glycobiology.
