Seiya Tsujimura is a Professor at the University of Tsukuba (Japan). He leads the Bioelectrochemistry Laboratory, where his research focuses on bioelectrochemistry and the engineering of enzyme electrodes for biosensors and biofuel cells. His group develops electrode materials, mediators, and enzyme-immobilization chemistries to enable stable and high-performance bioelectrocatalytic interfaces. Recently, he has been advancing wearable and self-powered biosensing technologies and functional biohybrid materials. He received the Academic Award of The Electrochemical Society of Japan (2024).
