Prof. Dr. Mirwan Ushada, S.TP., M.App.Life Sc. is a Professor of AgroIndustrial Technology at, Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, specializing in sustainable production systems, Innovation, Kansei (Affective) Engineering and Design, ergonomics, and artificial intelligence–based decision-making. His research integrates human factors, pattern recognition, and AI-driven decision support to advance innovation in agroindustry. He currently serves as the Director of Research at UGM, contributing to institutional research strategy, management and collaboration.
He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (2010) and Master of Applied Life Sciences (2007) from Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, following his Bachelor of Agricultural Technology from UGM (2003). His professional roles include Assessor for BAN-PT and the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Agricultural Sciences (IAA-HEAS), Committee Member of Food and Downstreaming-Indonesian Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP), and Expert Council Member of the Indonesian Ergonomics Society (PEI).
