Naoki Yabuuchi

Naoki Yabuuchi

Tokyo Denki University, Japan

Naoaki Yabuuchi is a professor at Yokohama National University. He completed his PhD at Osaka City University in 2006 and his postdoc at MIT, with research expertise in the development of new electrode materials and study on reaction mechanisms for high energy Li/Na batteries. He has over 150 publications in these areas. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and an associated editor of Energy Storage Materials. He is the recipient of First International Award, “Science Award Electrochemistry” by Volkswagen and BASF, The 2nd ISSI Young Scientist Award, and ISE Prize for Applied Electrochemistry, The Periodic Table of Younger Chemists (Niobium) from The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) among other honors.
