Dr. Miller is Executive Director of Global Nexus, and Scientific Director of the M.G. DeGroote Institute for Infectious Disease Research at McMaster University. He is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences and was awarded the honorific title of University Scholar in 2025. He also serves as Co-Director of Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub (CP2H). Dr. Miller holds the Canada Research Chair in Viral Pandemics. He has received several major awards and distinctions including election to the Royal Society of Canada College of New Scholars in 2024. Dr. Miller’s research program is focused primarily on pandemic prevention, especially the development of broadly-protective vaccines, antibodies, and therapeutics. He is a member of several national advisory bodies and is co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of AeroImmune Inc.
