Our peer review guidelines require no less than two reviewers in order to assess the quality of our submissions on route to publication. We offer free training to become a certified peer reviewer through the Elsevier Researcher Academy.

Volunteering as a reviewer gives you unique insights into submissions related to your specialty focus. The process may also help to improve the quality of your own future submissions as you become more aware of the odds and ends of drafting a publication ready manuscript. It also helps to move your field forward and speed up editorial time for authors, shortening the gap from manuscript to publication in a community focused way.
