Navneet Sharma

Dr. Navneet Sharma is currently a scientist at IIT Delhi on the universal formulation for the CBRN decontamination of skin. The first quarter of the previous year motivated him to direct his focus towards developing solutions for viral decontamination from living and inanimate surfaces. He was among 4 eminent scientists from the country who got the fast track Covid-19 decontamination project from Department of Sciences and Technology (DST). In his brief research carrier of 5 years, he had acclaimed 7 national and international awards most prominent among them is the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India Covid-19 best innovation award 2020 and Department of Science and Technology, Young Scientist Award-2018. Currently he is an investigator in three projects from DST, filed and granted 10 national patents, and has had 4 technologies successfully transferred to the industry. He’s co-authored 45 publications including 5 book chapters, authored two books for Director General Life Sciences DRDO and edited 2 books.

Bhupendra Butola

B. S. Butola is a Professor at the Department of Textiles & Fibre Engineering, IIT Delhi. His research interests include functionalization of textiles with metal oxides, use of shear thickening fluids for improving the impact performance of ballistic textiles, polymeric nanocomposites and smart colorants.
