Yunching (Becky) Chen

Dr. Yunching (Becky) Chen earned her Ph.D. from UNC Chapel Hill in 2010 and completed postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School/MGH. Joining National Tsing Hua University in 2013, she became a Full Professor in 2020 and now chairs the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. Her research focuses on innovative drug delivery systems for nucleic acids, proteins, chemotherapeutics, and immunotherapies, targeting cancer and inflammatory conditions such as renal fibrosis and liver cirrhosis. Her research has been widely published in top journals, including Nature Reviews Bioengineering, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Protocols, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, Gut, Hepatology, and the Journal of Controlled Release. Dr. Chen also serves in leadership roles with the Controlled Release Society and as Associate Editor for the Journal of Controlled Release.
